Spider Veins in Garden City, NY

We know that spider veins can be unsightly and may cause individuals to be more self-conscious about their appearance. For some individuals, spider veins are just a cosmetic issue, but for others, they may cause physical discomfort.

WHAT CAUSES SPIDER VEINS?

Weak or damaged valves can lead to spider veins. Arteries carry blood from your heart to the rest of your tissues, and veins return blood from the rest of your body to your heart, so the blood can be recirculated. To return blood to your heart, the veins in your legs must work against gravity.

HOW ARE SPIDER VEINS TREATED?

Applied Aesthetic uses Asclera®, an FDA-approved treatment used in a procedure called sclerotherapy. Read our Frequently Asked Questions about Asclera® and then contact us today for a consultation, or appointment and we will provide the optimal treatment to get rid of your spider veins.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Asclera®?

Asclera® is an FDA-approved treatment used in a procedure called sclerotherapy. It’s administered in-office by a healthcare provider to treat two types of veins in the lower extremities:

  • Uncomplicated spider veins (very small varicose veins ≤ 1 mm in diameter)
  • Uncomplicated small varicose veins (1 to 3 mm in diameter) known as reticular veins

What Is the Procedure Like?

  1. Applied Aesthetic will inject Asclera® into the vein.
  2. Over a period of weeks, the treated veins collapse and become less visible.
  3. Over time, the body naturally resorbs the treated vein.

Are There Side Effects?

In a clinical study, the most common side effect was temporary bruising (hematoma) at the injection site. These are not all the potential side effects. Click below for additional Important Consumer Safety Information or learn more here.
