It comes in a vial essentially composed of white powder that needs to be reconstituted with sterile water in order to be injected. PLLA, when injected activates an inflammatory response ,activating fibroblasts and thus building collagen. Results are a firmer and more youthful appearance seen over 2-3 months.  It is performed in a series of 2 treatments, 6 weeks apart with results lasting up to 2 years.
