BBL Information & Instructions

BBL delivers light energy to gently heat the upper layers of your skin.  The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate.  In addition, the light energy penetrates deep into the skin to boost your body’s natural ability to fight the appearance of aging.  The goal is naturally beautiful and visibly younger looking skin.

After Your Treatment:

You may experience some redness in the treatment area that should resolve within a few hours.  If the treated area is especially warm within the first 12 hours after the treatment, a cold compress or ice pack can be used to provide comfort.

Cleanse your skin two times a day with lukewarm water, and a gentle cleanser, using your hands and finger tips.  We recommend purchasing a gentle cleanser from us, so we know you are using what is appropriate for your skin and treatment.  DO NOT rub, scrub, or use an exfoliant/skincare brush of any kind while the skin is healing.  We do not want to irritate the skin.  Especially if you are being treated for redness (such as Rosacea) or vessels, avoid alcohol, hot tubs, saunas, swimming pools with multiple chemicals/chlorine, water that is too hot or too cold, strenuous exercise and sweating, for 48 hours.

Sunscreen is a MUST and should be used daily beginning of the day of treatment and used consistently.  Please ask your provider what sunscreen is right for you and your treatment.  DO NOT expose skin to direct sun for 14 days.  The treated area is more prone to sunburn and pigmentation change.  We suggest wearing a hat as well.

Moisturizer should be applied generously, with clean hands, over the treated area and re-applied whenever your skin feels dry.  Usually, 1-3 times a day while healing.

You may notice darkening of your pigmented (red and brown) spots, followed by fading and flaking off.  This is normal and is part of the process.  The result will be a more even skin tone.
